Outerwall

My Role: UX, Visual Design

Outerwall--the company behind Redbox, Coinstar and ecoATM--had a great corporate website, with only one problem: it did not work on mobile! When I started work at Outerwall, I gave myself a goal that by the end of the year, this company would have a working responsive website. As of December, Outerwall can now be accessed on any platform, anytime, anywhere.

When designing for Outerwall, consistency is key. Strict adherence to the brand guidelines is necessary, and keeping the color palette and typefaces uniform makes sure that the brand flows properly from one channel to the next.

Convert to responsive website

I took the existing desktop site and designed it to work seamlessly with mobile, resulting in increasing mobile traffic by 110% and total traffic by 14%.

New webpages

I also designed various new webpages, including overhauling the Diversity & Inclusion section, and the Investor Relations section. (Click images to enlarge)

Investor Relations / The Investor webpages were redesigned to make information easier to find.

Diversity & Inclusion / Outerwall is a charitable company with strong values, so HR wanted to introduce new webpages to highlight their Diversity & Inclusion department.
