Seattle Waldorf School

My Role: Visual Design, UX (mobile only)

Based on extensive user testing and research in collaboration with Blink UX, Seattle Waldorf School updated its website to better meet the goals of prospective parents and current students. The entire website was rehauled to optimize viewing for prospective parents. I provided the responsive web design, optimized for desktop, mobile and tablet users.

The Waldorf teaching method throws conventional public education out the window. Students learn by doing, which means they are literally outdoors harvesting vegetables or learning how to solder a bicycle.

The web design brings this outdoors, do-it-yourself theme to life through elements like the buttons and the color palette.

A big feature of the website is the chalk drawings. All drawings are actually hand-drawn by the teachers at Seattle Waldorf School and used regularly in their teaching curriculum.
